Lisa Nicole Lopes, known professionally as Left Eye, was born on May 27, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before her family relocated to Atlanta, Georgia during her childhood. She grew up in a military household, as her father, Ronald Lopes, was an active-duty Army officer. Her mother, Francine Lopes, was a gospel singer and musician. Left Eye rose to fame as a member of TLC, one of the most successful girl groups of the 1990s. She met Tionne "T-Boz" Tenese Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas when auditioning for a girl group managed by Jermaine Dupri. The trio debuted with the album Ooooooohhh...
